TSP Market Summary: Week of September 09, 2014

By Roy Weisert, PhD, CFP

Key Takeaways

  • S&P 500 maintained support above 2000 level, indicating stronger market foundation
  • U.S. markets outperforming globally, favoring domestic C and S fund exposure
  • Potential for market advances in coming months if 2000 level holds as support

The market has proved resilient as the S&P 500 closed out above 2000 for the second week in a row. Hopefully 2000 will be a new support level and we can make some nice advances over the next few months. The U.S. markets remain the most bullish so we propose increased exposure in both the "C" and "S" funds.
