TSP Market Summary: Week of June 18, 2017

By Roy Weisert, PhD, CFP

Key Takeaways

  • Markets consolidating after S&P 500 breakthrough above 2,400 level shows healthy momentum
  • No TSP allocation changes recommended - maintain full equity fund positions (C/S/I funds)
  • Quiet week ahead with no major market events expected to drive significant moves

The markets look like they are still catching their breath after breaking through that 2400 level on the S&P 500 a few weeks ago. For the week, the S&P 500 finished higher 2 points to close at 2433. Next week we might see more of the same as there are no major market moving events on tap. For the TSP, we recommend no allocation changes and remaining 100 percent invested in the equity funds (C/S/I).
