Dow, S&P 500, and Russell 2000 all closed at record highs this week
No TSP allocation changes recommended as equal C/S/I weighting strategy is working well
Earnings season continues next week with potential for further market advances
What a great week for the markets as the Dow, S&P 500 and Russell 2000 all closed at record highs. The S&P 500’s previous high was just shy of four weeks ago, but it finished Friday at 2459. Much of the credit for the advance were the Fed Chair’s accommodating remarks on gradual interest rate hikes in the future. Next week earnings season continues so hopefully with good news we’ll see further advances (but no one can predict the future). With TSP TIPS, we’re recommending no allocation changes this week since we seem to be hitting on all cylinders with an almost equal weighting between the equity funds (C/S/I). That said, we still have the last half of the month for two exchanges if needed.
